Drug Hair Loss Treatment

Finasteride

Finasteride is the common name for both native and Propacas. It is a drug used to treat the prostate until it is found, one of its side effects is hair growth.

Pro longitudinal inflammation is the first drug approved by fda to treat male pattern baldness. It is used by 90% of men and works by inhibiting the body from producing an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase. This enzyme converts testosterone into the androgen dihydrotestosterone (dht), which shrinks the hair follicles and causes baldness.

As these drugs are known to cause birth defects, no prescription is given for women of childbearing age as a preventive measure.

Finasteride can be used as a pill once a day.

 Minodil

 Minodil is a drug originally developed to treat high blood pressure. Later, people realized that it also stimulated hair regeneration. However, this drug is only effective for the time you use it. Once you stop, hair loss will continue.

Doctors suggest that Minodil should only be applied to the scalp after they found that people who take it as a pill grow hair in unusual places such as their cheeks and forehead.

Minodil is available under the brand name Rogan and ther oxidized il as a formula for foam and liquid strength at 2% and 5%. It is suitable for dry scalp areas where the hair is thinned.

 Ketoconazole

Ketoconazole is an antifungal drug for the treatment of dandruff.

A 2005 study showed that ketoconazole treatment of dandruff with male baldness is an effective solution. It is used as a treatment for male baldness because it reduces the production of testosterone and dht in hair follicles. It is reported that hair follicles prevent hair growth.

Nizoral 

Nizoral is the only over-the-counter shampoo brand containing ketoconazole. Use at least a small amount per week, do not use more than the specified amount, because it can make the hair dry and rough.

Ketoconazole is also recommended in men with finasteride or minoxidil, because if you have dandruff, the effects of these drugs will not go deep into the scalp.
